Osinbajo Assures Nigerians: Economic Hardship is Temporary
Nigeria's Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, has assured Nigerians that the current economic hardship is only temporary as President Muhammadu Buhari is aware of the
situation of things.
“When we took over the reins of governance, we knew that things were bad. What we did not realise, however, was just how bad they really were. Now we know better. The current pains and sufferings that our people are feeling today are the results of yesterday’s mismanagement of the commonwealth of our great country," he said at a conference organised by the South-West wing of the All Progressives Congress in Ibadan on Thursday.
“President Buhari is only too aware of the economic hardship that our people are facing. He feels the pains that you feel, and he has asked me to reassure you that a glorious dawn awaits you. As you all may well know, the darkest part of the night is the period before dawn. Nigeria’s dawn is about to break. We are determined to turn things around, so that, once more, our people will begin to feel real impact of government in their lives," he added.
