INEC ANNOUNCES WINNER OF EDO STATE ELECTION

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Godwin Obaseki the winner of the 2016 Edo State
governorship election.


Obaseki defeated his main opponent and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Osagie Ize-Iyamu, with 66,310 votes.

Obaseki had 319,483 votes as against Ize-Iyamu’s 253, 173 votes.
