The world's first hotel with its own artificial rainforest and beach.
The world's first hotel which would have it's very own rainforest, an artificial beach, splash pool and trees that spray mist, is scheduled to open in Dubai in 2018. With a reported build cost of £230million, the Rosemont Hotel & Residences is a five-star hotel and apartment project.
To begin with, it will be home to retail spaces and a sheesha café. There will be a nightclub on the first floor of the podium and an entertainment complex with a bowling alley, a skydive simulator, a kids play area and a luxury cinema on the top floor. The podium will also house welcome lobbies for the hotel and the apartment towers.
Hilton brand Curio offered a glimpse into what the 75,000-square foot, man-made jungle will look like when it opens to visitors.
The highlight of the podium, however, will be a 12,000 sq m (130,000 sq ft) artificial beach and rainforest at the top. Gizmag asked for more information about these elements, but was told that details are limited at this planning stage. There will be water sports activities for public guest and those of the hotel and apartments, but that's about all we can tell you at the moment.
The hotel will contain 450 rooms and will feature a sky lobby, a sky pool, fine dining restaurants, a spa, a health club and meeting rooms. The restaurants will overlook the sky lobby and the pool and guests will be able to take in views of the city and the coastline.
