Manchester United beat Leicester city(2-1)to lift the community shield.

Jose Mourinho lifted his first piece of silverware with the Old Trafford’s club after the Swede scored a late header on his debut.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored a header on his Manchester United debut as they saw off Premier League champions Leicester 2-1 in the Community Shield.

United took the lead through Jesse Lingard’s spectacular effort in the first half before Jamie Vardy pounced on a Marouane Fellaini mistake to equalise.

Then Zlatan, on his Manchester United debut, latched onto an Antonio Valencia cross in the 83rd minute to clinch the win and hand Jose Mourinho his first trophy with the club.

Manchester United have won the Community Shield 21 times (4 shared); more than any other club in history.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has now won 29 trophies over his career, not including the two titles taken away from Juventus.
